Josef Black is a British writer of military, espionage & political fiction. His debut book series THE BLADES: SAS SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCE was released in May 2014 and follows new SAS operator Danny 'Feathers' Archer as he joins an elite British Special Air Service Sabre Squadron.The BLADES series follows Danny's troop (SAS Bravo Seven) through the period from 1999 at the end of the Bosnian Serb conflict to the outbreak of a NATO-Russian war in 2017.By Jo's own admission he isn't attempting to write a non-fictional account of life in the UK Special Forces & Army, but rather trying to capture the spirit and ethos of the men who serve, the camaraderie, friendships forged and unique spirit of brotherhood within individual platoons. When Jo isn't writing books he enjoys walking his dog in the Lake District, getting his arse kicked by 7 year olds on Battlefield, going to the pub and swearing at his neighbours.
