The beauty of keeping a journal is not being judged by someone else and most importantly not being judged by yourself.

It’s similar to throwing paint on a blank canvas and seeing what you get.

It’s a relationship between your conscious mind and your unconscious self

It’s like drilling for oil; you have to prime the pump to get to what lies below the surface.

Often times (almost always) you’ll discover things about yourself you didn’t know existed. Things like feelings or memories or wishes or desires. If you take the time to explore your inner world you’ll find a multitude of things residing there.

The question becomes: “Who can benefit from keeping a journal?”

Each individual’s journal is unique to them. What works for one person may not be of interest to someone else and vice versa. But the purpose is always the same – to explore the reservoirs of our mind and record our life experiences.

you write or draw or doodle in your journal, you will begin to discover remarkable things about yourself and your world.
