Lori Beasley Bradley

Lori Beasley Bradley is an American author best known for her Soiled Dove Sagas, a historical fiction series exploring the lives of women working as prostitutes in the 19th-century Old West.

Born and raised in a small town in rural southern Illinois, Lori Bradley developed a love of reading and writing at an early age. Her passion for literature began with gothic romance and horror and eventually expanded to include science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. Bradley cites authors James Rollins and Steve Berry as current influences.

Bradley graduated from Benton Consolidated High School before earning an associate's degree in education and creative writing from Glendale Community College. Her academic background laid the foundation for her writing career, providing her with the skills and knowledge to create compelling and thought-provoking stories.

Bradley's first published work, The Legend of the Swamp Witch, marked the beginning of her journey as a novelist, although she soon realised that marketing her work presented its challenges.

Her most notable project, The Soiled Dove Sagas, follows the lives of two women, Mattie Wallace and Roxie North, as they navigate the dangerous world of the Old West. In The Ruby Queen, the series' debut, the protagonists find themselves in Abilene, Kansas, using their wit and resilience to survive in a male-dominated society.

The series continues with The Queen of the Cow Towns, set in Dodge City, and concludes with The Crown Queen, set in Prescott, Arizona. Bradley's love of history shines through in her meticulous research, bringing authenticity and depth to her storytelling.

In addition to historical fiction, Bradley has ventured into other genres, including erotic romance with her novel Sweet Rewards, published by Etopia Press, and paranormal mystery, showing her versatility as a writer.

Lori Beasley Bradley currently lives in Glendale, Arizona.
