Jane Isaac

Jane Isaac is an English author of crime fiction. She is the author of three bestselling detective series DCI Helen Lavery, DI Will Jackman, and DC Beth Chamberlain.

Before she began writing, Jane Isaac had a career in the civil service. The turning point for her was the year she and her husband went on a trip around the world. First, she kept a travel journal, then she enrolled in a creative writing course and started writing articles for newspapers and magazines.

"When I finished my first book, An Unfamiliar Murder, I was still studying creative writing and my tutor encouraged me to submit it to agents. I didn’t expect a positive response, so you can imagine my surprise when two literary agents expressed an interest," says Jane Isaac.

Her debut novel was nominated as best mystery in the "eFestival of Words Best of the Independent eBook awards 2013". Jane Isaac was runner-up, ‘Writers Bureau Writer of the Year 2013'.

She went on to write detectives, penning ten books in three successful series.

In 2021, Jane began working in the psychological suspense genre for the first time, releasing One Good Lie. It was followed by the psychological thriller One Fatal Secret (2022). Both books were well-received by critics.

Jane Isaac lives in rural Northamptonshire with her detective husband, daughter, and dogs.

    🌴Beach Bag Book
    👍Worth reading

it was a novel which was easy to predict but again highlighted the simple things one should be careful about
Most importantly it circled back to the saying there is no such thing as free lunch in the world Naomi would have understood that for sure
    a) Eva being ungrateful and irresponsible was definitely a lesson and one should be not erratic with behaviour
    b) Naomi should have not followed the glitter when she got mixed with jules after all friend to all is a friend to none
    c) Helen should have never given a second chance if one has been aways its for good always
    d) Dean the overall charming one , well dont they say somethings are too good to be true
    e) about Chillie i guess nature never changes no matter what the world wants to believe

    Overall a good read
