Hiro Oda is a Japanese author known for her light novels, which combine fantasy and romance with heartfelt storytelling. She made her literary debut in 2019 with The Reincarnated Noble Lady Aspires to Be an Adventurer (Kadokawa Books).
Oda went on to create several popular series, including Chloe, the Grass Mage's Second Life, The Timid Noble Lady Took a Gamble with Her Fiance, and The Grim Reaper Knight Won't Let Go of His Fated Fiance (B's-LOG Bunko). Her works gained a devoted following for their relatable protagonists and themes of quiet resilience and finding happiness in ordinary moments.

Hiro Oda died unexpectedly on 4 June 2024. In her honour, Kadokawa's editorial team pledged to uphold her beliefs: "I want to write stories where those who strive are rewarded with modest happiness." The team shared their plans to continue working on the projects she had begun to present to her fans in due course.
