Anthony Trollope was an English novelist and civil servant. He is best known for his series of novels, the Chronicles of Barsetshire, and his prolific writing, having published 47 books and numerous short stories and articles. Anthony Trollope was born in London, the son of a bankrupt barrister. He attended Harrow School and Winchester College and then worked in the postal service. He held various administrative positions in the postal service, which allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United Kingdom and abroad.
