Wendy Corsi Staub

Wendy Corsi Staub is an American writer of suspense novels and young adult fiction. Staub is New York Times bestselling author and has won various awards during her career. According to her web, Wendy Corsi Staub is the author of more than ninety published novels and has sold more than four million books worldwide.

Staub has written under her real name as well as Wendy Brody, Wendy Markham, and Wendy Morgan. Under her own name, Wendy achieved New York Times bestselling status with her single title psychological suspense novels. Those novels and the women's fiction she writes under the pseudonym Wendy Markham also frequently appeared on the USA Today, Barnes and Noble Top Ten, and Bookscan bestseller lists.

Wendy Corsi Staub born in Dunkirk, New York. She enjoyed reading as a child, worked for the student newspaper and yearbooks, and published poetry in Seventeen magazine. After graduating from the State University of New York at Fredonia, Staub joined the publishing industry. She was Associate Editor at Silhouette Books before selling her first novel in 1992.

At the beginning of her career, she published a broad range of genres under her name and pseudonyms and was a co-author/ghostwriter for several celebrities.

Staub published a dozen adult suspense novels with Kensington Books and the critically-acclaimed young adult paranormal series Lily Dale, with the individual titles Awakening, Believing, Connecting, and Discovering. She has also written a series about a group of teen angels for Middle grades.

Wendy's backlist of New York Times/USA Today bestsellers and award winners includes such titles as Dead Before Dark, Dying Breath, Don't Scream, The Final Victim, etc.

Her thriller Live to Tell (2010) received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. It also was a finalist at the 2011 Mystery Writers of America Edgar Awards for the Mary Higgins Clark Award.

The sequel, Scared to Death (2011), was honored with the WLA Washington Irving Prize for Fiction and the trilogy concluded with the bestseller Hell to Pay (2011).

In 2013, she concluded a bestselling, award-winning trilogy that HarperCollins launched in September 2012 with Night Watcher, which won the 2013 Westchester Library Association Washington Irving Prize for Fiction.

It was followed in October by the New York Times bestselling Sleepwalker, a finalist for the prestigious Simon and Schuster Mary Higgins Clark Award presented at the Mystery Writers of America Edgars Symposium in April 2013. The trilogy’s final title, Shadowkiller, was released in February 2013.

She contributed a recipe to the March 2015 release of The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook as well as a short story, My Father's Eyes, to the First Thrills anthology edited by Lee Child.

Written as Wendy Markham, her 2005 romance, Hello, It's Me, was made into a television movie by the Hallmark Channel and will air in September 2015.

A three-time finalist for the Simon and Schuster Mary Higgins Clark Award, she has won an RWA Rita Award, an RT Award for Career Achievement in Suspense, the 2007 RWA-NYC Golden Apple Award for Lifetime Achievement, and five WLA Washington Irving Prizes for Fiction.

Her most recent title, the standalone suspense novel, The Other Family, is about a picture-perfect family that moves into a picture-perfect house. But, of course, not everything is as it seems, and this gripping novel ends with a twist.

Married with two sons, Wendy Corsi Staub lives in the NYC suburbs.
