Scott Perkins

Scott Perkins was born and raised in rural Missouri, dreaming about turning his grandfather's tractors into giant robots. His parents' house was more library than anything else and he grew up tromping through the woods with his cousins and absorbing the classics. Despite an early fondness for mysteries, he was most enthralled by the sort of science fiction and fantasy stories that were fundamentally silly and held out some hope for humanity. Scott wrote his first novel when he was nine and never looked back.At some point, he got a bit older and accidentally become a graphic designer and illustrator (which are just another way of telling stories after all) and now spends his time helping run a college writing and tutoring center in Tacoma, WA. His short story about the clash between Daylight Savings Time and Armageddon was a finalist in the 6th Annual Writer's Digest Short Short Story Competition. His secret island lair is located somewhere in Washington State, where he lives with his wife and assorted feline lifeforms.
