Adam K. Watts

Adam K. Watts is an American author known for his fantasy and science fiction works. His most known work is the Tales Of The Misplaced series, an epic fantasy adventure.

Adam K. Watts was born in Santa Clara, California, and raised in Salinas. Watts has explored various artistic endeavors, including writing, painting, dancing, performing arts, and digital photography. Influenced by the poetry of Robert Frost, his work often reflects a deep sense of curiosity and exploration.

Watts pursued his education at Ashford University, earning a BA in Organizational Management and an MBA in Global Management.

Aside from writing, Watts has ventured into game design, a passion that began in middle school. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Game Design & Development, he struggled to break into the video game industry. As a result, he returned to board games and created No Honor Among Thieves, a game inspired by heist stories and the complexities of trust and betrayal.

To promote No Honor Among Thieves (which came out in 2016), Watts engaged in in-person promotions, blog posts, and active participation in online communities. Despite a modest social media following, the game's Kickstarter campaign succeeded through active community support and a focused marketing effort during the campaign.

"I’ve been a lover and avid reader of fantasy and science fiction since I was knee-high to a short Hobbit. I have finally escaped the confines of professional non-fiction writing to follow the purpose that has been burning in my heart since I could lift pencil to paper," Watts said.

His most recent work is Rise of the Vanquished (2024), the sixth book in the Tales Of The Misplaced series. He is currently working on the seventh book.
