Save My Soul is the first of five novels that comprise the Soul Saga, and

Save My Soul follows young Anthony Mill as he tolerates his role as adopted son, servant boy and sexual plaything to Jacques Christophe, and his knowledge that his predecessors have never survived longer than their eighteenth birthdays. Anthony’s prayers to be saved are answered in a chillingly unexpected way, and the result is a desperate race to discover the truth, find freedom and, ultimately, achieve salvation.

Scott Hamill skilfully guides the reader through the murky pasts of Anthony, Jacques and the sadistic Felix Dengate, and raises universal fears and preoccupations in the characters’ search for humanity.

This is an ambitious dark saga, which explores strong adult themes, contains strong language and is at times brutally captivating, and Hamill will no doubt have each reader of Save My Soul eagerly awaiting the next instalment in the Soul Saga.
