"Little Ida's Flowers" (Danish: "Den lille Idas blomster") is a short fantasy story for children by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. It was first published in an inexpensive booklet without a cover, along with "The Tinderbox", "Little Claus and Big Claus" and "The Princess and the Pea", on May 8, 1835. The tale has been adapted to various media including opera, musical, and animated film. The tale is completely Andersen's invention and owes no debt to fairy tales or folklore.
