Most people live by default. By this, I mean that for most people life just happens and they simply respond to what comes their way—for better or for worse. In this respect, many people feel as if they are victims of their circumstances, or other people’s choices. There is another way to live!
No-default living is getting a hold of Jesus’ promises of a preferred future that God intends for us. This doesn’t mean life will be free from problems and challenges. On the contrary; we may even get more! The difference is that No-Default Living is a way of life based on assuming ownership of my decisions—those choices that I have used to invite the Lordship of Jesus.
Jesus promised a life of abundance (John 10:10); with that in mind, I can pray and ask for direction in many areas. In so doing, I increase my expectation that God will reveal His favour through my life and choices.
