Gessie Chapel is making a name for herself as a songwriter in Nashville. Her latest client is an up-and-coming band who hopes one of Gessie's songs will put them on the country charts.
But when Gessie arrives at the band's rehearsal studio and finds the lead singer for the group lying in a pool of blood, she becomes entangled in a web of emotional blackmail, jealousy, and greed. It's up to Gessie to find out who killed the band's lead singer because the investigator has decided Gessie is his prime suspect.
