This ‘Fear of Dentist’ Guided Meditation & Hypnotherapy session is aimed for people who suffer from dental phobia, dental fear, dental anxiety, odontophobia, or dentophobia. In most cases, people who experience dentophobia do so because of prior traumatic experiences at the dentist, a learnt behaviour from seeing someone they trust afraid of the dentist or they have experienced a direct complication from having an uncomfortable or painful procedure. In this session we use a technique called hypnotic desensitisation which includes relaxation skills to help face your fear of the dentist whilst in a safe environment, think more rationally about the dentist and we will ask you to use your imagination to picture yourself behaving how you want to whilst at the dentist. By doing so, you will find that the same feelings of relaxation remain with you in the outside world as well as during this session. We recommend that you listen to our session at least four times so you can really compound the positive messaging, override the old beliefs and help your mind create new neural pathways to feeling less anxious about visiting the dentist.
