Despite being 'only a cleaner' at the public Zoo, Slick Bill knows more about the animals than most of the doctors and zoologists that work there. As a night worker, he definitely knows more about their nocturnal habits and particularly their appetites. So, when the new arrival, a quiet and reflective Tibetan worker by the name of Pema, makes an odd and deeply gruesome request of Bill, he is just the right man for the job.
The zoo, after dark, it seems, can be a deeply disturbing place.
